Certain Death was started by Henry Black during the most hopeless and isolating parts of the pandemic in 2020. Through numerous genre and lineup changes they have landed somewhere in the nebulous realm of over-the-top rock and roll. They just released their debut single, “Certain Death” and are gearing up to record the rest of their catalog.

A pure, frenetic night terror drenched in looping fragments of deconstructed backbeats, careering bass lines, droning guitar tones and vocal discordance. A total display of affection for speaker-shredding records and outsider art punk (Swell Maps, Electric Eels, Kleenex, Rudimentary Peni), TDA is a lucid departure from nostalgia saturated rock.
