Endearments
The music of Endearments has always inhabited a singular space, mingling the crystalline poise of new wave and post-punk with the emotional release of contemporary pop. The Brooklyn dream-pop trio began as the solo project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Marksson, with drummer Will Haywood Smith and guitarist Anjali Nair joining in early-2022 to complete the lineup. Endearments’ first singles, Left Side and Anica, introduced the subjects of heartbreak and healing now explored fully on Father of Wands, the band's debut EP.
Lizdelise
Lizdelise is a queer, genre-bending trio from Philadelphia that has shared the stage with Algernon Cadwallader, NNAMDI, Dominic Angellela, and more. When Lizzy (they / them) isn’t crafting music for podcasts and contemporary dance companies, they spend every other moment writing new music under Lizdelise. Their sharp ability to craft introspective songs that question everything from sexuality and gender to family relationships. The band’s electric live show vibrates through every room, leaving you buzzing and wanting more. The gender-questioning track “WMN” which explores what it does and doesn’t mean to be a “woman" was released in June; a collection of remixes of that track will be released Friday, December 9th.
Laura Wolf
Producer, cellist and singer Laura Wolf combines her love of chamber music and glitchy electronic production to weave a “richly textured dream pop, ornate yet organic” (Bandcamp). She is currently making sounds in Brooklyn, NY.
