Desert Sharks

Brooklyn-based Desert Sharks are known for their heavy riffs, soaring vocals, and high-energy performances. Their highly praised 2019 debut full length album, "Baby's Gold Death Stadium", received rave reviews from outlets such as Brooklyn Vegan and AdHoc, with Vinyl District calling it "undeniably major." Bandcamp agreed, referring to the LP as "a shadowy co-mingling of forceful hooks and fuzzy guitars making [it] a proper gloom-punk affair." Often compared to female-led heavy hitters such as Veruca Salt, L7, and Sleater-Kinney, Desert Sharks bring a fresh and inspired sound to the grunge-punk genre. In August of 2021, Desert Sharks released two popular singles: guitar-driven covers of “Voices Carry” by ‘Til Tuesday and “20th Century Boy” by T. Rex. They will be recording a highly-anticipated follow up EP this summer, with subsequent plans to tour the U.S.

Climates

Climates is a Brooklyn made and grown three piece whose self dubbed sound Glitter Grunge brings the raw feels with some sparkly icing. They are 90s nostalgia roller skating hand in hand with future galactic punk, come see Theadora adjust her choker, Molly whipping her hair back and forth and Keira maintaining the pulse. You won't know whether to dance cry or follow them on Spotify.

Le Big Zero

Blending garage rock with complex, yet poppy song structures, Le Big Zero are taking a huge leap forward with their sophomore album A Proper Mess (now out on Know Hope Records). The experimental indie quartet have Frankensteined their iconic predecessors with the energy of early slacker grunge groups and the brains of math rock outfits. With angular song structures and pop harmonies, A Proper Mess is as unique as it is introspective. With influences from Sleater-Kinney to Forth Wanderers to Better Oblivion Community Center, there is a wholly unique aspect of the new album that can’t really be pinned down but offers an edge that can’t be chiseled down.

Ilithios

Ilithios is sometimes one person and other times 5 people making soundtrack music for people who are at their wits end.

Channeling anxiety, despair, jealousy, panic, and turning it into joyful sounds. Sorta like a recycling plant. Ilithios translates to idiot in Greek, where Manny grew up.
