Drawing on influences ranging from Black Sabbath and Dinosaur Jr. to early Modest Mouse, Faiders creates a spectrum of soundscapes and songs as diverse as their relative backgrounds. Jared Schapker’s thunderous bass lines rumble along, acting as the glue holding the fuzzy and melodic tones’ of both Ellsworth and White’s guitars down. All the while, guided by the steady and sure groove of Suben, a drummer raised and inspired by the rich and eclectic history of NYC music. Adding to the argument that the best front -person is everyone, Faiders divvies up the share of vocals to take you on a tour of lilting and urgent melodies.
