Inspired by a love of Defeated Sanity, Wormed and Suffocation, Aphelion Entity blends warp speed blasts with brutal slowdowns, held together by whiplash-inducing transitions and a discordant s ense of atmosphere, in riffs that are as cerebral as they are cavemanly. The debut self-titled EP explores unknowable terror and unfathomable creatures, illustrated by gore and madness, with lyrical inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft and Cosmic Horror.
