Like most good stories, this one begins with a Craigslist ad. The ad began with an honest confession: 'Let’s get this out of the way first- I have no official music experience.' While it’s now lost to the Craigslist graveyard of TVs and blowjobs, that ad was the beginning of New York’s Groupie. Ashley Kossakowski (bass/vocals), a queer, first-generation child of Polish immigrants, grew up going to so many shows that her mom referred to her as 'groupie', but the whole time spent as a fan, she wished she could be on stage. Groupie is the realization of that dream, combining the passion of music fandom with newfound years of experience. Drummer Aaron Silberstein and guitarists Eric Rubin and Eamon Lebow fill out Groupie's sound, and together they create an emotional journey that could just as easily have you crying or screaming alongside them.
