MayQueen
MayQueen is a female fronted indie rock band based in New York City. The MayQueen sound is breathless indie rock with influences from the ‘70s and ‘80s, taking inspiration from Blondie, David Bowie, and The Velvet Underground. The group consists of longtime friends Natasha Recoder and Lucy Horgan, along with Lucy's fellow Vassar College alum, Maya Morrison.
BEND
BEND mixes dual guitar action, groovy bass, gut busting drums and powerful crooner vocals too create a unique sound influenced by the sounds of early 2000s garage, punk and classic rock. Founded in 2019, BEND released a self-produced, self-titled EP in 2021.
Father Koi
Born and raised in New York City, Kara Lu started writing music at age 17, but didn't officially take on the name of Father Koi until the indie-pop release of "Halloween Dancer" in 2019. Since then, she has ventured into experimenting with different sounds and working with various producers (as well as producing herself) to create a variety of sounds and genres, but never deviating from her trademark honest and stripped-down lyrics.
Classically trained in piano since age 6, Kara picked up the guitar and bass in 2016 and later started singing in 2019 with the conception of Father Koi. Since then, her work has been featured in five Spotify official playlists and has been a guest of the SUNY Purchase Culture Shock.
