Spirit Ghost

Spirit Ghost is the creative moniker of Alex Whitelaw. It was started in 2012 as a bedroom pop project outside of Providence, Rhode Island, as a way to play and write music without having to wait for others to have time to do it. It began slowly and the songs weren't very good at first, but over time the songs became okay! And Alex could convince people to play with him. And then those people would quit, but sometimes they wouldn't! And that is the Spirit Ghost that you have today. It has developed past its humble beginnings into a more fully developed sound that draws upon Alex's wide pool of influences, from garage and surf rock to bossa nova and country. As a result the sound is wholly contemporary while still paying homage to the distinct sounds and tones of the 60's.
