Swordes
In the Summer of 2021, when going out was finally legal again,Swordes made her debut playing at the many warehouse ravesand parties of Brooklyn, New York’s underground scene.Fearless, pop leaning, and addicted to melody, her live set ishardware synths, drum machines, and an emotive, operaticvocal. There’s no computer in sight.
Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Swordes moved to NewYork City to pursue a fine arts education at Parsons School ofDesign. After a year of school and becoming disillusioned withacademia, she began making music as a joke. With her onlyvocal training being her shower, and her only musical trainingbeing nonexistent, Swordes’s style is eclectic, experimental, and most of all, fun. In a world saturated with hyper-produced computer music, auto tuned vocals, and Big Label Sensibility, she instead reflects an honest, poetic, and deeply personal artwork.
Swordes still writes, produces, records, and mixes all ofher music, and has incorporated her origins as a visual artist inher cover art and aesthetic.Swordes gleans great satisfaction from exploring the manysubgenres of electronic music and when asked what genre hermusic falls into she responds: “It’s human music for humans”.Her next project is a collection of songs blending pop vocalswith the club inspired sounds of late 90s dance music. This willbe her first full length LP.
Bella Litsa
Bella Litsa is a 6 piece band based in Brooklyn, NY. All music is written and sung by Isabella Komodromos. Bella describes her own music as "medieval", sometimes bordering dark wave and gothic rock, but carries with it the sweet vocal melodies of a lullaby.
