The Gansett Set
The Gansett Set are a new New York Based Rock Trio. During the past year they've been recording and producing a 16-track album titled Victoria Secret Party.
They are heavily influenced by Astor Piazzola, Arctic Monkeys, and Bowie as well as traces of Jazz and Tango; two of their band members are Argentinean, with the third being from New York.
Honeysucker
Their introduction came courtesy of a mutual friend, and it didn't take much time for them to discover a shared passion for old-school acts like Hall & Oates and Bobby Caldwell, along with contemporary maestros like Ginger Root and Arctic Monkeys. Determined to forge a new sonic identity, influenced by new-wave, indie, R&B, and pop, they devoted the lion's share of 2022 and 2023 to composing, recording, and live testing their new material.
With the addition of Zach Kornhauser and Gavi Kutliroff to their live lineup, Honeysucker is poised for an exciting year ahead. They are set to unveil a fresh wave of singles, stage captivating performances across the diverse venues, basements, and rooftops of New York, and establish their presence as an integral part of Brooklyn's music scene.
Born from the smokey depths of Brooklyn nightlife, Honeysucker is a sonic manifestation of the raw energy that pulses through the city after-hours. Carrying echoes of late-night confessions, the wisdom of worn-out barstools, and the allure of neon lights flickering on rain-soaked streets.
Honeysucker came into existence during the spring of 2022 when two wishfully accomplished Brooklyn based indie-pop musicians, Jack Brickner and Sam Wright, joined forces. Feeling a bit worn out within their individual endeavors, they were both looking for a fresh creative spark.
The Shining Hours
The Shining Hours are a Shoegaze quartet from the blaring streets of Brooklyn NY. Their music is a mix of reverb-drenched guitar riffs and a booming rhythm section, melded in a melodic swirl of raw energy, that The Blog That Celebrates Itself describes as “...something like if The cure joined Slowdive had a jam,” with relatable lyrics of which Divide and Conquer wrote, “Best of all I could make out the lyrics, and they’re good. Like, blew my mind good.” The group has been active in the New York scene, playing at local staple venues such as Mercury Lounge, TV Eye, and Arlene’s Grocery. The Shining Hours will be releasing their second EP in early 2024.
