Whisper Doll

Whisper Doll is a dream rock band based in New York City, started by songwriter Fiona Tagami with bassist Kara Lu, guitarist Maya Lagman and drummer Shawn Majeed. The band blends nostalgic '90s shoegaze and dream pop influences with modern storytelling. Drawing inspiration from bands like Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, The Sundays, and Kate Jane Garside, Whisper Doll's sound is characterized by ethereal vocals, lush reverb-drenched guitars, and melancholic, whispery melodies. Their music evokes a sense of wistfulness and introspection, exploring themes of girlhood, coming of age, and the surreal. After releasing their debut album, Perfume Garden in October 2024, which garnered praise for its atmospheric quality and rich textures, Whisper Doll continues to captivate listeners with their unique take on the dream pop genre.
