Partygirl
partygirl is an imaginative, maximalist indie rock band based in Brooklyn. Through creating unique and forward-looking music, partygirl seeks to build new worlds based on feminist praxis, radical Survivor identity, and a rejection of our present-day dystopia. The group is formed by Pagona Kytzidis (vocals/guitar/keyboards), Fran Pastore (guitar/production), Jonathan Ashley (drums), Claire Lin Jenkins (violin/vocals), David Mirarchi (horns/keyboards) and Andrew Jordan (bass).
partygirl’s debut EP was released in October 2022 and was hailed as “astounding,” “rhapsodic,” “groundbreaking”, and “cinematic” in reviews by Earmilk, Get Alternative, Big Takeover Magazine, and more. The band’s energetic and emotional shows have stormed the stages of venues like Baby’s All Right, the Sultan Room, Brooklyn Made, Mercury Lounge, and more.
Dota
DOTIA is a Brooklyn-based Band fronted by Jamie McVicker. She is joined by Kat Belguendouz on vocals, Jeremy Kauffman on keys and drums, and Max Satow on guitar and drums. They seek to bring back the band dynamics of the ’60s and ’70s. Their music style is dynamic, unique, trancelike, and cinematic. It takes you on a journey of the human experience that is both heartbreaking and inspiring. Songs like “Sitting Down” and “Low Battery Mode” make you feel not alone in your darkest moments of self-doubt. While songs like “Light Headed” and “Poetry in Motion” get you on your feet and ready to move to a new state, start a new life, and get into some trouble.
Femcel
Femcel: not only loves male manipulator music but also female manipulator music. They love Fiona Apple and Nirvana. They actually don’t take men seriously and can be easily mistaken as a “manic pixie dream girl” when in fact they are probably misandrists.
